Never Try to Control or Persuade Someone of Your Value: Live YOUR Life
Have you ever felt like your ambition, drive, or goals make people uncomfortable? Like your very existence challenges how others live their lives?
You put yourself out there—maybe in love, career, or friendships—and it didn’t go the way you hoped. Now, a familiar voice creeps in: “Was I not good enough?” “Why does this always happen to me?” Rejection stings, but what if it’s not about your worth at all?
At some point, you will realize not everyone is meant to walk this journey with you.
You’ll meet resistance, rejection, and even accusations:
You’re too loud.
Your opinions are too rigid.
You’re just too much.
But often, what they truly mean is:
Your goals are too high.
Your vision is too different.
You’re not playing the supporting role they hoped for.
The first rejection stings. But it’s the last one—when you finally mute yourself to keep the peace—that cuts the deepest.

Why Should You Read This Post? - Overcoming Rejection & Reclaiming Your Self-Worth
Rejection is painful, but it doesn’t define you. By reading Overcoming Rejection & Reclaiming Your Self-Worth, you’ll be able to:
Understand why rejection affects you deeply so you can shift from self-doubt to self-empowerment.
See how astrology mirrors personal transformation so you can gain a deeper perspective on your challenges and trust the cycles guiding your growth.
Develop strategies to rebuild confidence so you can reclaim your personal power and move forward feeling strong and self-assured.
Recognize that self-worth isn’t earned—it’s inherent so you can stop measuring your value by how others respond to you and start seeing yourself as whole and complete.
Shift your perspective from feeling stuck to trusting your unfolding process so you can move beyond the fear that you’re “failing” and instead embrace growth as an ongoing journey, even in the hardest moments.
Don't Forget, You're Here to Live Your Life for You
When people decide they "don't like" you, it can feel like rejection. But often, it’s not about you—it’s about them:
They don’t believe in themselves enough to go where you’re heading.
They’re not willing to put in the work to keep up with you.
It’s not your job to shrink yourself or stay small for their comfort. In the past, I struggled with this. I stayed quiet, played small, and muted my voice to avoid rejection. But now, I’ve learned to trust myself.
I know that not everyone will come with me on my journey—and that’s okay. I’ve stopped trying to convince others to join me, and instead, I focus on my growth and my future.
My Own Journey: Rejection, Reset, and Rebirth
Astrology isn’t just something to study—it’s something we live through. Every major rejection or identity shift I’ve gone through has been mirrored in my transits, and those patterns have helped me make sense of my journey. I want to share one of those moments with you.
For me, the hardest moment wasn’t the first rejection. It was the one that led me to hit “mute.” By 2013, I was powered down, running in “safe mode,” detached from my emotions and identity. I was quiet, timid, serious, and exceedingly sensitive. I felt so unsafe to feel my emotions, that they were completely inaccessible to me.
I thought I had recovered by 2016. I was married, working, and building a life. But I wasn’t me. My true self was buried beneath layers of fear, rejection, and misaligned expectations.
By 2020, I felt so misaligned that I fantasized about disappearing entirely—leaving everything behind just to start over.
Fortunately, by the end of 2019, I had started to seek answers within myself - spurred by none other than another rejection from someone close to me. Slowly, I realized that my self-worth couldn’t depend on others’ approval or alignment with my path.
I was completely reliant on my husband for every shred of human miscellany - finances, food, shelter, entertainment. It must have been so weird to be him in that moment - married to a shell. The more I wanted to and tried to rely on others - especially for my self worth - the more I hated myself.
Looking back, I can see that this rejection wasn’t about me—it was about alignment. At the time, it felt personal, but astrology helped me see that it was part of a larger cycle of growth. If you’re facing rejection now, ask yourself: is this happening to hurt me or to push me toward something better?
What I’ve Learned About Living Authentically and Overcoming Rejection
Here’s what I’ve discovered:
When you trust yourself, you no longer need validation from others. When you live authentically, you attract the people meant for you—and let go of those who aren’t.
It’s not about convincing anyone of your value. It’s about living your life unapologetically.
If you're ambitious and driven and you don't like quitting at the beginning, people will start to see your very existence, opinions/thoughts and goals as a threat to how they choose to live their lives.
By overcoming their rejection, I was able to come face to face with who I could be and who I wanted to be. Because I was rejected when I was my real true self, and my fake subdued self, I learned that living authentically is the only path to true fulfillment. And the same is possible for you.
Reflecting on Rejection and Self-Worth: The Venus Retrograde Invitation
We all experience moments in life where we’re forced to re-evaluate our relationships, values, and sense of self-worth. Often, these moments feel like the universe pushing us to grow from within, whether we’re ready for it or not.
Astrology offers a unique lens for understanding these shifts. Take Venus retrograde, for example: a period where we’re invited to reflect on our desires, relationships, and personal values. Even if you’re new to astrology, you might notice that times like these tend to bring big “aha!” moments about what you truly want—and what you’re ready to leave behind.
During Venus retrograde, the cosmos challenges us to reclaim our self-worth and make peace with rejection, not as a setback but as a stepping stone toward greater alignment. It’s an opportunity to look inward and let go of old patterns, allowing you to create space for a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
What This Venus Retrograde Taught Me
During the recent Venus Retrograde, I gained profound clarity about my values, relationships, and self-worth. This cycle taught me to:
Trust myself above all else.
Set relationship standards that honor my growth.
Align my financial goals with my core values.
As Venus moves forward, it’s time to integrate these lessons.
Your worth isn’t defined by someone else’s response to you. To rebuild your confidence, focus on how you show up for yourself.
Try this: Every time you catch yourself seeking external validation, pause and ask: “If I fully believed in my worth, how would I respond to this situation?” Then, act from that place—whether it means setting a boundary, affirming your strengths, or choosing to disengage from self-doubt spirals.
Self-worth is something you return to, not something you lose. Every rejection is just a redirection toward the right alignment.
Your Turning Point: Aligning With Your Unique Journey
Venus Retrograde may have stirred up questions for you, too:
Are your relationships supporting your growth?
Are your values aligned with your goals?
Are you living authentically—or playing small?
Whether you’re facing a major turning point or a subtle shift, your birth chart holds clues to maximizing your benefits from the process unfolding.

Key Takeaways
Rejection does not define your worth. It often reflects misalignment rather than personal failure, allowing you to see it as redirection rather than defeat.
Astrology helps make sense of personal transformation. By recognizing how transits mirror emotional shifts, you can trust that challenges are part of a larger growth process.
Self-worth isn’t something you earn—it’s something you return to. External validation doesn’t determine your value; learning to validate yourself strengthens confidence and resilience.
Feeling stuck is often a temporary illusion. What feels like an ending is often the beginning of a new alignment. Trusting the process allows you to embrace your personal evolution.
